Ukrainian defenders down Russia’s Su-34 plane in Kharkiv Region
The anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down Russia’s Su-34 bomber aircraft in Kharkiv Region.
The relevant statement was made by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At about 10:00 a.m., June 12, 2022, the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit Russia’s Su-34 fighter-bomber aircraft near Izium, Kharkiv Region,” the report states.
The aircraft crashed in the temporarily occupied area. Information about pilots is yet to be checked.
In addition, on June 12, 2022, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners destroyed Russia’s Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle, and the Ukrainian combat aircrafts completed several air missions, launching air strikes on the positions of Russian occupation forces. As a result, an enemy rocket and artillery ammunition depot was destroyed.
A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and June 13, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 32,300 troops.
