The Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed a Russian 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and a command and staff vehicle of a battery commander, using French-made Caesar self-propelled howitzers.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In one volley, six Caesars covered an area where the enemy concentrated more than 15 pieces of weapons and military equipment. The enemy's 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and command and staff vehicle of a battery commander were hit," the statement said.

The ministry said that Ukrainian artillerymen are making a unique rapid transition to NATO weapons systems and their standards.

"Our brave warriors are doing incredible things - they are mastering the weapons of victory that have been quickly provided to Ukraine by Western partners. Gunners are already effectively using Caesar self-propelled howitzers and other large NATO calibers on the battlefield," the statement said.
