Sumy region comes under fire from Russian territory
Enemy forces fired mortars and artillery from Russian territory at the Krasnopillia community in the Sumy region on Friday, June 17.
Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Krasnopillia community: two enemy drones flew in after 15:00. One of them dropped an explosive device, and another one was destroyed. After 19:00, the community came under mortar fire from Russian territory. 24 strikes. After 20:00, enemy forces began shelling [the community] from Grads. In all, there were about 80 strikes," he wrote.
According to him, a civilian infrastructure facility and household premises were damaged by the shelling. No casualties were recorded.
