Russians fire mortars on Sumy region
Sumy region, northern Ukraine, again came under fire as Russians struck the residential neighborhood of Seredyna-Buda town, causing significant damage to the private sector. Human casualties are being clarified.
"Sumy region, the situation as of 09:30 on June 19, 2022. At night, the enemy opened fire twice from its territory on Seredyna-Buda community – from 04:00 till 05:00 and then at about 07:00. Residential neighborhood of Seredyna-Buda town came under fire," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
According to Zhyvytskyy, at least 10 private houses of civilians and farm buildings were damaged.
Moreover, an enemy shell hit a house and set fire to it.
Information on casualties is still being clarified, Zhyvytskyy noted.
As reported, on the evening of June 17, the enemy fired up to a hundred shells on Krasnopillia community in Sumy region.
