German Bild journalists come under enemy fire near Lysychansk
A journalist team of the German publication Bild has come under enemy fire when leaving the city of Lysychansk.
The relevant video was released by Bild, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Since the early days of the war, Bild Vice President Paul Ronzheimer had been regularly working in Ukraine. These days he is working in the Donbas together with two photographers, Georgos Mutafis and Vadym Moisenko.
As the journalists were leaving Lysychansk, their car came under enemy fire. The incident was filmed.
“This highway is likely to be the most dangerous in Ukraine. […] Russians are continuously shelling it, as it is the only road running from the city,” Ronzheimer commented.
Three journalists remained unharmed. The Russian projectile broke a car window at the height of the head. If the journalist had not bent down, the bullet could have hit him.
According to Bild, it is now unknown if the Russian military fired at the car intentionally. The road has been under continuous enemy fire in recent days. Two weeks ago, a French reporter was killed in that area.
