Ukraine Army repels attack near Lysychansk, enemy suffers losses

Ukraine's Armed Forces stopped an enemy assault on the southern outskirts of Lysychansk, inflicting losses on the enemy and forcing them to retreat.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest update published on Facebook.

In the Sievierodonetsk direction, Russian troops used tanks, mortars, and artillery outside the settlements of Syrotyne, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, Voronove, and Myrna Dolyna. Units of the 2nd Army Corps, with the support of Russia's National Guard, are holding assault operations in order to establish full control over Sievierodonetsk. The fighting continues.

"Ukrainian troops stopped the offensive toward the southern outskirts of Lysychansk, inflicted losses on the enemy and forced them to retreat. Russian invaders are involving reserves to resume the offensive. The Ukrainian defenders also stopped the enemy's offensive near Borivske," the General Staff said.

According to the statement, the enemy conducted reconnaissance outside the settlement of Bila Hora. Enemy forces also continued the offensive near the settlement of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
