One civilian killed in Russia’s shelling of Kostiantynivka, two rescued from under rubble
Last night Russian troops launched an artillery strike on the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, having killed one civilian.
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“One person was killed. Houses and social infrastructure facilities were damaged. These are the effects of Russia’s shelling of Kostiantynivka. Russians continue to intentionally target civilians and critical infrastructure in Donetsk Region. No safe places have left in the region so far. Evacuation is the only responsible option,” Kyrylenko told.
In general, a total of 22 houses and 14 social infrastructure facilities were damaged in Kostiantynivka.
According to the police, two civilians were rescued from under the rubble. The police and rescuers are dismantling the rubble manually, as special vehicles cannot reach the scene due to serious destructions.
A reminder that Russian troops shelled the fire and salvage unit located in Kostiantynivka. The equipment and vehicles were destroyed. Four rescuers were injured.
