Lysychansk suffers from airstrikes. Russians gain foothold in Sievierodonetsk, nearby villages
After the capture of Sievierodonetsk, the enemy concentrated all its forces and means on occupying Lysychansk.
"Airstrikes were inflicted on the town itself, as well as in the area of Bila Hora. There is a lot of destruction – Lysychansk is almost unrecognizable now. A TV tower lies on the ground, a road bridge is seriously damaged, shells hit houses, the building of the Security Service department, etc. The body of a man with no signs of life was found in the territory of a multidisciplinary hospital. He received mine blast injuries," Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Facebook.
After the Ukrainian troops were withdrawn, the enemy gained foothold in Sievierodonetsk, Syrotyne, Voronove, and Borivske.
Finally, the Russians shelled Azot plant and a training ground of the State Emergency Service in Sievierodonetsk, opened fire on the villages of Pavlohrad and Synetsky, the bridges towards Lysychansk that had already been destroyed and repeatedly shelled.
