Russians fire at Avdiivka Coke Plant, destroy schools in Donetsk Region
Russian troops continue to destroy social infrastructure in Donetsk Region. Schools were damaged in Russia’s shelling of Toretsk and Maiaky, and Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant again came under enemy fire.
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today a school has come under enemy fire in Toretsk: windows were broken, the roofing was damaged. Yesterday, a school was destroyed in Maiaky. Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant and the city itself are under enemy fire again. Here, Russians are continuously opening fire, killing civilians and destroying the region’s industrial potential,” Kyrylenko wrote.
In his words, Russian invaders have used cluster munitions in the Hrodivka community today. At least one civilian was injured.
A reminder that, over four months since the Russian invasion started, the Russian military have opened fire on 548 educational institutions in Ukraine, including 220 secondary schools and 155 nursery schools.
