Russia's war in Ukraine affects over 968 children
At least 341 children have been killed and 627 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started in late February.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a Telegram post, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"More than 968 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. As of the morning of June 29, 2022, the official number of child victims over the past day has not changed - 341. The number of those injured has increased to over 627," the report said.
Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (338), Kharkiv Region (183), Kyiv Region (116), Chernihiv Region (68), Luhansk Region (58), Kherson Region (52), Mykolaiv Region (48), Zaporizhzhia Region (31), and Sumy Region (17).
A total of 2,092 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine as a result of Russia's daily air and artillery strikes, and 213 of them were destroyed completely.
