Russian forces shell Mykolaiv region, damage railways, houses

Russian troops have shelled the Mykolaiv region, damaging two railway stations and houses.

The press service of the regional state administration said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"Bastanka district. In the Bereznehuvate community, villages along the contact line are being shelled nonstop. On the night of July 8, the Bereznehuvate station, the village of Murakhivka and the village of Kalynivka, Bereznehuvate community, came under fire. According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties. Information on damage is being updated. Due to the impact of ammunition and their fragments, harvest residues and dry grass burned in the open territory of the village of Dobre, Bashtanka community," the report said.

In addition, in the Mykolaiv district on July 8, approximately from 12:00, Russian invaders shelled the village of Novomykolaivka, Pervomaisk community, partially damaging residential buildings and stone fences. Grain fields, forest strips, and dry grass also caught fire. There are no victims.

On July 8, after enemy shelling, a forest fire broke out on the Kinburn spit and two fires erupted in the forestry area near the village of Vasylivka, Ochakiv community.
