Invaders shelling villages around Bilohorivka, amassing troops
The aggressor's troops launched four missile strikes and seven artillery attacks on the villages near Bilohorivka.
"The enemy amasses troops near Bilohorivka, shells the surrounding localities, launches airstrikes, but is still unable to quickly occupy the entire Luhansk region. Over the past night alone, the Russians launched seven artillery attacks and four missile strikes," Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook.
According to Haidai, the enemies still live with the thoughts of how they captured most of the region in early March. But it was by no means a lightning offensive operation, but the construction of a strong defense line by the Ukrainian military.
"And as soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine made reliable defensive fortifications, this rapid offensive came to an end. In four months, the Russians advanced several kilometers, choosing the tactic of complete destruction of large cities. But they are still confident in their ‘heroic’ victories at the end of February and don't want to assume the reality," Haidai wrote.
He added that the invaders were not very happy about the reality. Just like yesterday, when the occupiers came under Ukrainian artillery fire near Zolotarivka and had to run from their positions. Their attack on Verkhniokamyanske was not successful.
That is, all their efforts to advance from Lysychansk to Siversk are being choked, thanks to the Ukrainian defenders, Haidai emphasized.
On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure facilities, massively fire on residential neighbourhoods of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, rocket launchers, aerial bombs, and ballistic missiles.
