Death toll from Russian missile strike on Chasiv Yar rises to 36

The death toll from a Russian missile strike on an apartment building in the town of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, reached 36.

Viktor Vitovetskyi, Director of the Department for the Civil Protection Measures of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, stated this on the air of Ukrainian TV channels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As to Chasiv Yar, works are underway. They are coming to an end, but the works on dismantling debris are still ongoing. The strike has killed 36 people, including a child. Nine people have been rescued. I believe the works will be completed soon," Vitovetskyi said.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the evening of July 9, Russian invaders hit a five-storey apartment building in Donetsk region’s Chasiv Yar with the Uragan MLRS. Two entrances to the building were completely destroyed.
