Russians launch missile strike on Vinnytsia, casualties reported

The Russian military have launched a missile strike on the city of Vinnytsia. Casualties are being reported.

The relevant statement was made by Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Borzov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Vinnytsia has been struck. People are reported killed and injured. The number of casualties is yet to be checked,” Borzov wrote.

Emergency services are heading to the scene.

According to the updated information, Russian missiles hit an office building. A child was reported among those killed.

Chief of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported on Facebook that, according to the preliminary data, three Russian missiles hit a building with office premises. The residential houses located nearby were also damaged. At the moment, two civilians have been reported killed (including a child) and six injured.

The missile strikes caused a fire, which spread to the car parking space. About 50 vehicles are on fire now. Rescuers are working at the scene to extinguish fire.

A reminder that, on July 14, 2022, as the air raid sirens were ringing, an explosion was heard in Vinnytsia.
