Russian forces committed more than 23,300 war crimes in Ukraine - PGO
Ukraine’s law enforcement officers have registered more than 23,300 crimes of aggression and war crimes committed by Russian military in Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion started.
The press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said in a Telegram post, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In particular, according to the PGO, Russian military committed 23,370 crimes of aggression and war crimes, including violations of the laws and customs of war, planning, preparing or waging a war, war propaganda, and other crimes.
Law enforcement officers also registered 11,270 crimes against the national security, crimes related to the encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
In addition, The suspects in the main cases of the Russian aggression are 624 representatives of the military-political leadership of Russia, including ministers, lawmakers, military command, other officials, heads of law enforcement agencies, instigators of war and Kremlin propagandists.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, firing at Ukrainian cities and villages with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and ballistic missiles.
