Ukrainian troops prevent Russians from capturing road between Lysychansk and Bakhmut — Haidai

The Russians have been aiming to capture a strategically important road for them for more than two months, but they are still unable to establish control over several kilometers of this road.

"The occupying forces continue to launch artillery strikes with subsequent assault attempts, launch rocket and airstrikes. During July 15, the enemy launched four rocket strikes, three artillery attacks, and five more long mortar attacks on populated localities near Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway and around them," Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook.

In particular, airstrikes were launched on Verkhniokamyanske and Bilohorivka. A missile and airstrike was recorded near the latter.

The invaders tried to improve their tactical position in Verkhniokamyanske area by offensive and assault actions.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure facilities, massively fire on residential neighborhoods of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, MLRS, aerial bombs, and ballistic missiles.
