Ukrainian forces shoot down Russian fighter jet in Kherson region

Today Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units have shot down a Russian fighter jet, probably a Su-35, near the city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region.

The Command of the Air Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

“At around 20:00 on July 19, a Russian fighter jet, probably a Su-35, was shot down by the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces near Nova Kakhovka,” the report reads.

According to the command, the fighter jet tried to attack the aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. The downing of the enemy aircraft has been visually confirmed. The pilot ejected from the aircraft.

On July 19, the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force shot down five drones of the operational and tactical level.

As reported, from February 24 to July 19, the Ukrainian troops eliminated about 38,550 Russian invaders.
