Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated almost half of occupied localities – Reznikov

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated from the occupiers almost half of the localities captured at the beginning of the invasion.

"We have already liberated more than 1,000 towns and villages captured by the enemy at the beginning. We need to liberate over 2,500 more," Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said during a discussion organized by the Atlantic Council, Ukrinform reports.

He emphasized that "Russia can definitely be defeated and Ukraine has already shown how."

"Now everything depends on how much the free world is ready to support us. If we receive enough weapons in time, we will liberate our lands," the minister said.

As a reminder, last week, the first three M270 long-range multiple launch rocket systems, transferred by the government of Norway through the mediation of Great Britain, arrived in Ukraine.
