Russians hit residential quarter in Nikopol, killing two people
At night, the enemy struck Nikopol, killing two people and injuring nine more.
"A residential quarter in Nikopol was deliberately struck with Grad systems. More than 30 rockets were fired. According to preliminary information, two people were killed, nine were injured," Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
Six people, including four children, are in hospital. The youngest injured is only three years old.
"Three private houses were completely destroyed by shelling, and dozens more were damaged," the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration added.
Rescuers continue to clear away the rubble and assess the destruction scale.
Unexploded ammunition is scattered around the town. Explosives technicians work.
