Downtown Kharkiv comes under enemy fire, casualties reported
Russian troops have opened fire on downtown Kharkiv. At least one civilian was reported injured.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Several powerful strikes on the central part. One person has been reported injured so far. Hopefully, casualty numbers will not rise,” Terekhov wrote.
In his words, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service is working at the scene. Terekhov called on local residents to stay in bomb shelters.
A reminder that powerful blasts have also been heard in the city of Mykolaiv this morning.
