Ukrainian paratroopers destroy Russian Ka-52 by Igla

Ukrainian paratroopers shot down an enemy Ka-52 Alligator helicopter using an Igla man-portable air defense system (MANPADS).

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Paratroopers of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade successfully downed a Russian Ka-52 Alligator by Igla MANPADS," the report reads.

The General Staff added that the cost of such a helicopter is about $16 million.

As reported, from February 24 to July 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated about 39,700 Russian troops and 188 helicopters.
