Russian armed aggression affects over 1,048 children in Ukraine

A total of 358 children have been killed and over 690 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of July 26, 2022, the number of those killed remained unchanged (358 children). The number of those injured exceeded 690 children,” the report states.

These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in Donetsk Region (363), Kharkiv Region (194), Kyiv Region (116), Chernihiv Region (68), Luhansk Region (61), Mykolaiv Region (55), Kherson Region (54) and Zaporizhzhia Region (40).

On July 25, 2022, a 5-year-old girl was injured in Russia’s shelling of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk Region.

In addition, a 16-year-old boy and two girls, 8 and 16, were injured as Russia’s UAV exploded in the village of Dubove, Volyn Region, yesterday.

A total of 2,188 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine as a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, and 221 of them were destroyed completely.
