Massive shelling of eight regions, six enemy attacks repulsed in Luhansk Region – consolidated data
Over the past day, Russian troops have been massively shelling eight regions of Ukraine. In Luhansk Region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulsed six out of seven enemy attacks.
The relevant statement was made in a consolidated report by military and civil administrations on the situation across regions as of 08:00 a.m., July 28, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In the morning of July 28, 2022, the Russian military launched a missile strike on a community in Vyshhorod District, Kyiv Region, causing damage to an infrastructure facility. According to the preliminary data, there were no casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene.
The enemy also fired missiles at Chernihiv Region, having hit mostly a forest area near the village of Honcharivske. Information about casualties and destructions is yet to be checked.
In the afternoon of July 27, 2022, Russians were shelling Shostka District, Sumy Region. In the evening, they struck the Seredyna-Buda with 10 mortar shells. No casualties or destructions were reported. On the night and in the morning of July 28, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on the Esman community and the Yunakivka community with the Grad MLRS. Reportedly, there are no casualties or destructions.
In Dnipropetrovsk Region, Russian invaders opened fire on two communities in Kryvyi Rih District, Zelenodolsk and Apostolove, with the Uragan MLRS and cannon artillery. Destructions in residential houses and household buildings were reported.
In Kharkiv Region, Russian troops fired missiles at Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi District and Kyivskyi District last night. Industrial facilities and a detached house were damaged; fires broke out. No casualties were reported.
In the morning of July 28, 2022, Russian invaders extensively shelled the city of Chuhuiv, causing damage to detached houses and household buildings. The enemy projectile hit an apartment block, causing a fire. According to the preliminary data, there are no casualties.
In Luhansk Region, Russians launched at least four strikes from the air, and two enemy missiles hit the target. Local settlements came under enemy mortar fire at least four times. At the moment, six out of seven enemy attacks have been repulsed. During four of them, Russian invaders opened fire with tanks. Russian units suffered losses and had to retreat in most areas.
In Donetsk Region, the enemy opened fire on such settlements as Soledar, Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Siversk, Vesele, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Pivnichne, Hostre and Bylbasivka. Eighteen detached houses, five apartment blocks and the premises of Artemsil State Enterprise were damaged.
At 05:00 a.m., Russian troops launched a missile strike on Toretsk, having hit an apartment block.
Over the past day, five civilians have been killed and eight injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region.
In the morning of July 28, 2022, Russian troops also launched a massive missile attack on Mykolaiv. According to the preliminary data, three enemy missiles destroyed a school in Korabelnyi District. One civilian was injured. Russian projectiles also damaged a yacht club, agro-industrial warehouse and household buildings.
In Kherson Region, the situation is remaining tense. As the Antonivka Bridge was accurately hit, Russian invaders prohibited its use, announced the launch of ferry services and the ability to drive via Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
In the rest of regions, the situation was relatively calm last night.
