Over UAH600M already raised for Ukraine’s “Drone Army”
As part of the "Drone Army" project, launched on the United24 platform, more than UAH 600 million has already been raised for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during a trip to the Drone Army operators’ training base, the Dronarium, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Our task is to provide the Army with such a number of drones that there are enough of them on each line of resistance and defense. To date, we have already collected more than UAH 600 million for these projects, as well as contracted large batches of relevant equipment," he said.
According to the minister, the fundraising campaign continues in order to systematically purchase and distribute UAVs along the entire front line.
Fedorov added that assistance is also provided to training centers where military personnel learn to operate drones, practice flight tasks and camouflage skills, and develop tactics.
Drone Army is a project initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. This is a comprehensive program, which includes the systematic purchase of drones, their repair, as well as training courses for relevant specialists. The project kicked off on July 1.
