Moldova about shelling of ZNPP: Consequences can affect everyone in the region

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova expressed its concern in connection with Russia’s latest shelling of the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and called for ensuring access for IAEA experts to the facility.

The relevant statement was posted on Moldova’s MFA page on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Deeply concerned by the attack on Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. We call for access of international experts from the IAEA,” the report reads.

The ministry stressed that the potential damage of Zaporizhzhia NPP can “affect everyone in the region, with unprecedented consequences throughout the world”.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the evening of August 6, Russian invaders once again fired rockets at the site of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the city of Enerhodar. In particular, Russian rocket attacks hit close to the plant's dry storage facility.
