Russian troops shell Kharkiv with cluster munitions
In the morning of August 8, 2022, Russian troops shelled the city of Kharkiv with cluster munitions. Fortunately, over 20 projectiles remained unexploded. Otherwise, much more casualties would have been reported.
The relevant statement was made by Head of Criminal Investigations Division of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region Serhii Bolvinov on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“This morning rashists have shelled the Pavlove Pole area with the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Cluster munitions. One killed, one injured. Both civilians. Fortunately, over 22 projectiles remained unexploded,” Bolvinov wrote.
In his words, investigation officers are working at the scene and documenting the crimes committed by Russian troops.
A reminder that, after 10:00 a.m., August 8, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on the Pavlove Pole residential area in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District. As a result, a 60-year-old man was killed. A 68-year-old man was reported injured.
