Podolyak: Crimea and Donetsk are occupied Ukrainian territories subject to liberation
Donetsk and Crimea legally have the same status as Mariupol or Melitopol. They are Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian army and are subject to liberation.
Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"'Mommy, we gotta go' – new slogan of ru-thieves who lived in captured houses on stolen territory. Legally, Donetsk and Crimea have the same status as Mariupol or Melitopol. Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia, which are subject to liberation. Everything else is a fiction of ru-propaganda," Podolyak said.
On August 9, in Russian-occupied Crimea, explosions rang out in Novofedorivka, where a military airfield of the Russian occupiers is located. Russia's Ministry of Defense said that "aircraft ammunition detonated" at the airfield.
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, commenting on a fire at the Saky airfield, said that it could not establish the cause of the fire, but again stressed the need to observe fire safety rules and ban smoking in unspecified places.
The phrase "Mommy, we gotta go" became a meme on social media after a video was posted from the beach near the airfield during the fire.
