Russian aggression in Ukraine leaves 711 children injured

As many as 711 children have been injured as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression in Ukraine.

"More than 1,072 children in Ukraine have been affected as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of August 13, 2022, the official number of killed children did not change over the past day – 361. The number of injured children increased – more than 711," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

These numbers are not final as efforts are ongoing to establish the casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the report said.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 375, Kharkiv region – 198, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 60, Kherson region – 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 40.

A total of 2,328 educational institutions were damaged by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Of them, 289 institutions were completely destroyed.
