Russia shells eight communities of Sumy, Chernihiv regions from its territory
Russian troops continue to shell the territories of Sumy and Chernihiv regions, northern Ukraine.
"Seven communities of Sumy region and one community of Chernihiv region came under enemy fire. The enemy inflicts fire damage with the use of mortars, MLRS, tube artillery, grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns," the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
In total, about 150 explosions were recorded. The strikes were launched from the Russian localities of Troitske and Nikolayevo-Daryno, Chornozemnyi Gorodok, and Tiotkino.
Private houses and civilian infrastructure objects were damaged.
As reported, on August 13, the troops of the Russian Federation shelled Chernihiv and Sumy regions five times.
