Tense situation expected at entire front in near future – intelligence

The intelligence informs that the very tense situation is expected at the entire front in the near future. 

"In the near future, there will be very tense situation at the entire front. It is not only about certain dates. In particular, now there are talks about Independence Day. Although this fact must also be taken into account," Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said during the national telethon.

Yusov noted that the Directorate had long warned that August and September would be very important periods for the further development of hostilities at the entire front.

He emphasized that "we are not ready to talk about the retreat of the enemy and the fact that Russia will withdraw its troops. But Ukraine will liberate all its territories captured by the enemy."

As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops continue to focus their efforts on establishing full control over the territories of eastern Ukraine, holding the temporarily captured regions of Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions, and creating conditions for resuming the offensive. There is still a threat of missile and air strikes from Belarus.
