Explosions heard in Zaporizhzhia, air defense forces at work - governor

Residents of Zaporizhzhia city heard a series of loud explosions, which was the result of work of air defense forces.

Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.  

"The loud sounds of explosions heard in the regional center are the result of work of the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he wrote.

According to him, the details will be clarified later. According to preliminary information, no victims have been reported.

He called on residents to remain calm and do not ignore air raid sirens.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of Thursday, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, four missiles hit an infrastructure facility.
