Four communities come under enemy fire in Sumy Region
On August 20, 2022, the Russian military opened fire from the territory of Russia on four communities in Sumy Region, such as Buryn, Bilopillia, Khotin and Znob-Novhorodske.
The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Around 03:00 p.m., Russian troops struck the Buryn community, reportedly with cannon artillery. Four explosions were recorded. The enemy continued artillery fire at 05:25 p.m. Four more explosions were reported.
After 04:00 p.m., the Russian military opened fire on the Bilopillia community with mortars. Four explosions were recorded. After 04:40 p.m., the enemy fired 12 more mortar shells.
After 04:30 p.m., Russian troops struck the Khotin community 10 times.
At 06:15 p.m., the Russian military opened fire on the Znob-Novhorodske community, reportedly with self-propelled artillery. Eight explosions were recorded.
According to Sumy Regional Military Administration, no casualties or destructions were reported.
