Ukraine registers more than 43,000 crimes related to Russian invasion
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s law enforcers have registered 43,091 crimes related to Russian aggression.
The press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement posted on its Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the PGO, Russian military committed 29,377 crimes of aggression and war crimes, including 28,251 violations of the laws and customs of war, 73 cases on planning, preparing or waging an aggressive war, and 28 cases on war propaganda, and 1,025 other crimes.
The prosecutor's office also registered 13,714 crimes against national security, of which 9,462 cases related to encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 1,605 – high treason, 1,969 – collaborative activities, 139 – aiding and abetting the aggressor state, 64 – sabotage, 475 – other crimes.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, 363 children were killed and 718 were injured in Ukraine due to Russian aggression.
On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion.
