War update for Ukraine’s South: Army eliminates 17 Russians, destroying Buk launcher, ammo depot
Ukraine’s Air Force operating on the country’s southern front on August 22 struck the Russian military manpower, weapons and equipment clusters, as well as their stronghold. The Armed Forces also hit ammunition depots and anti-aircraft defense equipment manned by the invasion troops.
This was reported by Operational Command South, according to Ukrinform.
Russian occupation forces in the south of Ukraine over the past day lost 17 soldiers; a Buk anti-aircraft missile complex, a Sani 120mm artillery unit, five trucks and armored vehicles, and an ammunition depot in Kakhovka.
The Command says that the Army inflicted significant damage on the Antonivsky Bridge in Kherson, delivering a high-precision strike. The OC also confirmed the "significant degree of damage" to the bridge over the Kakhovska HPP.
Currently, 13 Russian warships are maneuvering in the Black Sea off the Crimea coast, sheltering in the areas protected from missile strikes. Of these vessels, four missile carriers, including a submarine, are equipped with a total of 28 Kalibr missiles.
