Russian forces shelled two communities in Sumy region on the morning of August 24.
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The night in the region was restless due to air strikes... The Russians fired mortars from their territory on the north of Sumy region. Yesterday evening, around 22:00, mortar shelling of the Esman community ended. There were four hits. In the morning, at 05:00, the territory of the community was struck 8 times, on the outskirts of Bachivsk," the official wrote.
In addition, according to him, the shelling in the Znob-Novhorodske community ended at 09:00, there were three attacks.
As reported, on August 23, Russian invaders shelled Esman, Myropilske, Krasnopilske, and Velyka Pysarivka communities in Sumy region. In total, the territory of communities were hit by more than 80 times.
