Lithuania's military aid to Ukraine exceeds EUR 120M

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas has said that Lithuania's military aid to Ukraine reached more than EUR 120 million, and the total amount of support to the country will soon exceed EUR 500 million.

He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"The financial indicators of Lithuania's military aid to Ukraine are more than 120 million euros. But if we talk about the total amount of support, not only military support, but also economic, financial, humanitarian support, including aid to refugees, then this year it will cross the threshold of half a billion euros," Anusauskas said.

He noted that Lithuania also needs to replenish equipment in its armed forces. At the same time, he added that "it is practically impossible to replace the equipment provided to Ukraine with a new one in a short period of time." According to him, this is due to the fact that now, against the background of Russia's all-out aggression, democratic countries have increased military orders. Therefore, everyone is waiting for their turn when this equipment arrives. "And we are also standing in line to receive our ordered equipment. But I think that this situation will practically be resolved in a year or two," Anusauskas said.
