French President Emmanuel Macron in a video message on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day said in Ukrainian that France would continue to support Ukraine.
"We support Ukraine. We are on your side. This will continue to be the case," Macron said.
He emphasized that France has supported the choice of the Ukrainian people since August 24, 1991.
"Over the past 31 years, your nation has changed and has become stronger. In your unity, you received your strength. This 24th August should have been a day of festivity, of joy, of pride. It is a day of pride, but instead of all the legitimate festivities, it's the dead and all the fighters we are thinking of today, of the courage and resilience of your people," Macron added.
