Ukroboronprom, Ukraine Army's General Staff work out UAV development program

Ukraine's state defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, have worked out a program for the development of unmanned aerial systems for the country's security and defense forces.

The General Staff said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"Specialists involved in this project systematized knowledge about the combat use of drones, their place on the battlefield, worked out questions about the types of equipment, their tactical and technical characteristics, as well as the necessary ammunition, etc. Foreign experiences and the combat experience of Ukrainian pilots were taken into account during the work," the report said.

The program also envisages a fruitful partnership with private UAV developers for the rapid and safe production of UAVs at their facilities.

The authors of the program presented it to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and expressed hope it would be implemented as soon as possible, which will help speed up Ukraine's victory in the war started by Russia.

"This work is designed to help, including private producers, many of whom are currently working for the benefit of the Security and Defense Forces. To do this, we gathered representatives, talked about needs, about possible assistance, and about the efficiency and safety of production," said Ukroboronprom project manager Oleh Boldyriev.
