Ukrainian air defense forces shoot down Russian drone over Odesa region
On the morning of August 30, an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down an enemy drone that entered the territory of Odesa region from the sea.
Vladyslav Nazarov, a spokesperson for the Operational Command South, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy continues aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles. In the morning, it tried to explore the situation in the Odesa district, entering from the sea. The enemy ‘spy’ was destroyed by air defense forces," Nazarov noted.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, between February 24 and August 30, eliminated about 47,550 Russian troops. The Ukrainian forces also destroyed 1,954 enemy tanks (+7 in the past day, 4,294 (+25) armored combat vehicles, 1,079 (+19) artillery systems, 282 (+3) multiple rocket launch systems, 151 (+2) anti-aircraft missile systems, 234 (+0) warplanes, 204 (+1) helicopters, 847 (+3) operational-tactical level UAVs, 196 (+0) cruise missiles, 15 (+0) warships/cutters, 3,217 (+29) trucks and tankers, and 103 (+2) units of specialized equipment.
