One killed, one injured by enemy shelling of Mykolaiv - mayor

One person has been killed and one more injured by the latest Russian shelling of Mykolaiv.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"There are casualties as a result of the latest shelling. So far, we know of one dead and one wounded," he wrote.

He also urged the residents of the city to be as careful as possible and not to leave their homes without an urgent need.

On August 29, Russian forces shelled Mykolaiv, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings in the city. Two people were killed and 24 others were injured by the shelling.
