Nearly 10 explosions rock occupied Melitopol - mayor
About 10 explosions rang out in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhia region, which remains temporarily occupied by the Russian troops. The resistance forces are believed to have destroyed a Russian military base.
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported the news on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Resistance continues: about 10 explosions were recorded south of Melitopol, in the direction of the Molochny Lyman, where the occupiers were bringing their military equipment," the mayor wrote.
According to tentative reports, the explosions were first heard by residents of the southern streets, and later across the entire city.
Currently, more detailed information is being verified.
As reported by Ukrinform, on August 29, several explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Melitopol: local guerillas destroyed a military base, an ammunition depot, and a location where FSB operatives were having dinner.
