Russian aggression kills 380 children in Ukraine
As result of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian forces, 380 children were killed in the country, according to data provided by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office.
“As of the morning of August 31, 2022, more than 1,116 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 380 children died and more than 736 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the PGO wrote on Telegram.
It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The largest number of victims has been recorded in Donetsk region - 388, Kharkiv region - 203, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Mykolaiv region - 67, Luhansk region - 61, Kherson region - 55, and Zaporizhzhia region - 46.
On August 31, a 17-year-old boy was killed in Russian shelling of the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region. On August 30, a 6-year-old girl was injured in enemy artillery shelling in Kharkiv.
In addition, regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 2,328 educational institutions. Of which, 289 were completely destroyed.
