Russian troops focus efforts to take full control of Donetsk Region – General Staff

The enemy continues to focus efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk Region and holding the occupied areas of Kharkiv Region, Luhansk Region, Donetsk Region, Zaporizhzhia Region, Kherson Region and Mykolaiv Region. 

Russian troops are trying to create favorable conditions in order to resume the offensive and continue to launch air and missile strikes on Ukraine’s military and civilian objects.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. Belarusian forces continue to strengthen the protection of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in Brest Region and Gomel Region.

The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of Belarus is persisting.

In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops continue to hold separate military units in the border areas of Bryansk Region and Kursk Region. The enemy used mortars and cannon artillery to open fire on Chernihiv Region’s Pushkari, Khrinivka and Senkivka, and Sumy Region’s Sukhodil, Nova Sloboda and Novovasylivka.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian invaders are conducting hostilities to prevent the loss of control over the occupied frontiers and logistics routes in Kharkiv Region. The enemy attempts to find weak spots in the defense of Ukrainian forces and improve the tactical position.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian occupiers used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery near Udy, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkasy Tyshki, Pytomnyk, Velyki Prokhody, Staryi Saltiv, Petrivka, Peremoha, Dementiivka and Pryshyb.

The enemy launched air strikes near Shestakove, Bairak, Ruski Tyshki and Vesele.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops used tanks, cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems to open fire on military and civilian objects near Dolyna, Krasnopillia, Brazhkivka and Dibrivne.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian invaders are focusing efforts to conduct offensive actions towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. In the Kramatorsk and Novopavlivka directions, the enemy is trying to improve their tactical position and opening fire on Ukrainian positions. Russian troops are making attempts to constrain the actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and prevent them from being transferred to other directions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian occupiers used mortars, tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Bohorodychne, Hryhorivka, Donetske, Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Darivka, Rozdolivka and Vesele.

The enemy launched an air strike near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops used mortars, tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Sukha Balka, Yurivka, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Bilohorivka.

The enemy launched air strikes near Zaitseve, Vesela Dolyna, Soledar, Bakhmut and Yakovlivka.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled the enemy’s offensive in the direction of Bakhmutske and Bakhmut, as well as Vesela Dolyna and Maiorsk.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops used all the available weapons to open fire near Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Vesele, Opytne, Vodiane, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Karlivka.

Ukrainian forces successfully repelled the enemy’s attack near Opytne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

The enemy’s assault actions in the direction of Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka were also repelled.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian invaders used mortars, tanks, cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems to open fire near Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Mykilske, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Bohoiavlenka, Novomaiorsk and Neskuchne. The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops did not carry out active offensive actions.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russian occupiers are focusing efforts to hold the previously captured frontiers and positions.

Russian invaders used tanks, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire on the positions of Ukrainian forces near Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka, Posad-Pokrovske, Prybuzke, Novomykolaivka, Liubomirivka, Novohryhorivka, Kyselivka, Pervomaiske, Kobzartsi, Partyzanske, Chervona Dolyna, Shyroke, Bereznehuvate , Velyke Artakove, Andriivka, Novoselivka, Shevchenkove, Olhyne, Myroliubivka, Liubymivka and Petrivka.

The enemy launched air strikes near Lozove, Sukhyi Stavok, Velyke Artakove and Khreshchenivka.

Enemy units were stopped by Ukraine’s Defense Forces when conducting offensive operations in the direction of Potiomkyne.

In the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the enemy is focusing efforts to conduct reconnaissance and block civilian shipping in the north-western part of the Black Sea. Russia’s Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers are remaining combat ready.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to attack enemy targets. In particular, on the night of September 1, 2022, Ukrainian forces effectively struck an enemy fuel depot in Kharkiv Region’s Novoosynivka. The enemy’s losses in terms of military equipment and personnel are yet to be checked.

On August 30, 2022, in Kherson Region’s Tavriisk, Ukrainian forces hit an enemy deployment point within the area of the former motor transport company. Russian troops lost over 20 military equipment units. The enemy’s personnel losses are yet to be checked.
