Threat to humanity: Zelensky shows consequences of Russian invasion
When people are killed simply for being who they are, for not surrendering their Motherland, it is a threat to humanity as such.
That’s according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who posted on Telegram a series of photos showing the aftermath of Russia’s actions in Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"When a state turns energy poverty or hunger into a weapon, it harms everyone in the world. When a state tries to conquer another because it wants to be a colonizer, it is a threat to all who value their independence," Zelenskyy wrote, commenting on the photos.
“And when people are killed simply for being who they are, for not surrendering their homeland, it is a threat to humanity as such,” the president stressed.
Since February 24, Russia’s full-scale aggression has been devastating Ukraine. Defense forces are putting up massive resistance to the invading troops.
