Drones with Ukrainian engines showcased at exhibition in Turkey
Unmanned aerial vehicles powered by Ukrainian engines have been presented at the Teknofest exhibition in Samsun, Turkey.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
"The active Akinci and promising Kizilelma aerial vehicles, powered by Ukrainian-made engines, occupy a special place among Baykar's products, along with the well-known Bayraktar TB2 UAV," the diplomat wrote.
He added that the Turkish leadership is taking part in the exhibition.
Earlier reports said that Turkey's Baykar Makina intends to build in Ukraine not only a plant for the production of Bayraktar TB2 strike drones, but also to create new models such as Bayraktar Akinci and Bayraktar Kizilelma.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, from August 31 to September 2, Bayraktar drones destroyed Russian military equipment worth $26.5 million, including eight tanks.
