War update: Ukraine Army repels enemy offensive in several directions
In Donetsk region, Ukraine’s Armed Forces have successfully repelled the enemy's offensive in several districts.
That’s according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk region, maintaining control of the captured districts of Kherson, part of Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions, as well as creating favorable conditions for resuming the offensive, searching for weak points in Ukraines’ defenses, and trying to improve their tactical positions in certain areas.
A threat of massive air and missile strikes on military and critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine remains in place. In the Black Sea waters, Kalibr missile carriers are in full combat readiness for strikes.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched 25 missile and more than 22 air strikes against military and civilian targets across Ukraine. In particular, civilian infrastructure was hit in the areas of Kharkiv, Dmytrivka, Kostyantynivka, Zelenopillia, Zaitseve, Kodema, Soledar, Mykolaiv, Voznesensk, Ochakiv, Sukhy Stavok, and Bezimenne.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation saw without significant changes. The threat of missile and air strikes from the airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus remains in place.
In other directions, the enemy fired at military and civilian infrastructure from tanks, combat vehicles, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, namely:
In the Siversky direction, the enemy shelled civilian and military infrastructure in more than 10 settlements. Hasychivka, Yanzhulivka, Mykolaivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda (all in Chernihiv region) and Novovasylivka, Nova Huta, Seredyna-Buda, Bachivsk, Yastrubyne and Smolyne (Sumy region) were most affected by Russian fire;
in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage in the areas of Dementiivka, Nove, Odnorobivka, Borshcheva, Sosnivka, Udy, Ruski Tyshki, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Slobozhanske, Momotove, Petrivka, Bayrak, Husarivka, Chepil, and Mospanovka. The UAV was used to adjust artillery fire;
In the Sloviansk direction, the settlements of Krasnopillya, Dibrivne, Virnopillya and Bohorodychne were shelled by enemy forces. The Russians also launched an airstrike on the settlement of Dmytrivka;
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy opened fire near Piskunivka, Donetske, Kryva Luka, Siversk, and Spirny;
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy shelled the areas of Bilohorivka, Vesele, Zaitseve, Kodema, Mayorsk, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Bakhmut, and Mykolaivka. In addition, they launched an airstrike near Kostyantynivka, Zelenopillya, Zaytseve, Kodema, and Soledar;
In the Avdiyivka direction, the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Avdiivka and Vodyane were shelled by mortars and barrel artillery;
In the Novopavlivskyi direction, the enemy ran no active offensive operations, at the same time shelling the areas of Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, Kermenchyk, and Vremivka;
In the Zaporizhia direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Novopillia and Novosilka;
In the South Buh direction, the enemy is continuing defensive operations, shelling the areas of Myrne, Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka, Tavriyske, Partyzanske, Olhyne, Kiselyvka, Kobzartsi, Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Novovoskresenske, Myronivka, Lyubimivka, Petrivka. The areas of Bereznehuvate, Bezymenne, Velyke Artakovo, Sukha Stavka, and Bila Krynytsia were hit by enemy airstrikes. To adjust the fire, the occupiers used unmanned aerial vehicles.
After intensive shelling by Ukraine’s forces of enemy clusters in Kherson region, the Russian invaders imposed a ban on the movement of local residents. In particular, people are prohibited from crossing the Dnipro River on bridges and by watercraft.
Forcible mobilization continues in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In Donetsk, the Russian invaders found a "new source" to replenish their manpower losses. Men of military age undergoing treatment in local hospitals for various diseases or injuries, including those wounded in action, are being forcefully discharged to join or rejoin army ranks.
Once again, servicemen with the invaders’ 2nd Army Corps (mobilized in the occupied areas) note “discrimination” compared to the Russian military. Its personnel are not being provided the promised amount of allowances, unlike the Russian military in other military units. In addition, they complain about the lack of quality medical treatment. All this significantly affects their already deteriorating morale and mental state.
Ukraine’s defense forces are continuing to conduct a defensive operation, holding the designated positions and preventing the enemy from advancing.
Ukrainian troops successfully repelled the Russian offensive in the areas of Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Kodema, and Soledar (all in the Bakhmut direction), as well as in the areas of Pervomaiske, Vodiane, and Nevelske (in the Avdiyivka direction).
The Air Force Group continues to repulse missile and air strikes and aerial attacks of enemy troops, effectively covering critical infrastructure sites across Ukraine.
Throughout the day, in order to support the efforts of Ukraine’s ground groups, the Air Force 30 times struck enemy positions and military facilities.
Missile and artillery of Ukraine’s ground troops continue to perform counter-battery combat tasks and disrupt the enemy control and command system and supply routes, destroying their air defense systems and eliminating manpower. Over the past 24 hours, control points of various levels, strategic ammunition depots, artillery positions, as well as equipment and personnel clusters were hit.
Russian occupiers suffered losses after Ukrainian forces inflicted fire damage on enemy clusters near the settlements of Semenivka and Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. One of the field ammo depots and military equipment units were destroyed. Enemy manpower losses are being verified.
