Enemy shells over 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region

Russian forces have shelled civilian infrastructure in 23 settlements in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration said this on its Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

"According to the main directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region, the occupiers in the past day fired at civilian infrastructure outside the settlements of Temyrivka, Shcherbaky, Zarichne, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Novoiakovlivka, Rivnopillia, Huliaipole, Chervone, Mahdalynivka, Stepnohirsk, Luhivske, Poltavka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Charivne, Dorozhnianka, Zarichne, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove," the post read.

The police received 28 reports about the destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by the Russian occupying forces.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, the situation has not changed significantly over the past day, with the enemy concentrating its main efforts on holding their positions. In the past day, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tanks, rocket and field artillery along the entire line of contact.

On September 8, 1,137 civilians, including 235 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.
