Ukrainian forces drive enemy out of over 20 settlements over past day – General Staff

Ukraine's defense forces have managed to drive the enemy out of more than 20 settlements over the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy is concentrating its efforts on establishing control over the territory of the Donetsk region, keeping control of temporarily captured territories and disrupting the offensive of Ukrainian troops in some areas.

The enemy continues to attack Ukrainian positions, conducting aerial reconnaissance and attempting to take measures to regain ground.

A further threat of air and missile strikes on Ukraine remains. Over the past day, the enemy launched 18 missile strikes and 39 air strikes on military and civilian objects across Ukraine. More than 30 settlements were affected, including Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and Velykomykhailivka. Russian forces carried out another terrorist act - they launched a missile attack on the Kharkiv Thermal Power Plant, an object of the city's critical infrastructure. As a result, partial power outages were recorded in several regions.

After the successful actions of the Ukrainian forces in the Kherson region, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower. According to available information, the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade (based in Sevastopol) lost almost 85% of its personnel. Other servicemen have an extremely low morale and psychological state, with many of them refusing to return to the area of hostilities.

Ukrainian forces continue to liberates settlements in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions from Russian invaders. As previously reported, during their retreat, Russian troops quickly abandon their positions and flee deep into the temporarily occupied territories or into the territory of the Russian Federation. This trend continues. Over the past day, the occupiers have taken away property and vehicles looted from local residents in the settlements of Velykyi Burluk and Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region.

In the Luhansk region, the Russian military and their families left the town of Svatove. Only the military personnel of the so-called "people's militia" from among the local residents remained in the town.

Ukrainian aircraft launched eight strikes on enemy positions, hitting a platoon stronghold, six areas of concentration of enemy manpower and military equipment, and ab anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian forces shot down an Orlan-10 UAV, a Kh-59 guided missile, four Kalibr sea-based guided missiles and five Kh-101 air-based guided missiles. Enemy manpower losses are being clarified.
