President awards Ukrainian defenders in Kharkiv region

During a working trip to Kharkiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to Ukrainian service members.

"I want to thank you for your service, for liberating the temporarily occupied territories. Thank you for protecting the most important thing we have - Ukraine, our sovereignty and territorial integrity," Zelensky said, the press service of the Head of State informs.

The President wished the defenders and their families good health.

"You are heroic people. Take care of yourself and the people of Ukraine. Children and grandchildren will never forget your feat," he noted.

The Head of State also held a meeting on the operative situation on the frontline and in the de-occupied territories. The President listened to the report by Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky - commander of the Khortytsia operative strategic group of troops, which is conducting a counteroffensive operation in the Kharkiv and Luhansk directions.
