Enemy shelling of Nikopol damages houses, lyceum and power lines
The Russian forces used Grad MLRS and heavy artillery to shell the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region last night.
Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
“Nikopol was struck three times. In the city, more than 10 multi-storey buildings and private houses, a lyceum, a public transport stop, gas pipeline and 6 power lines were damaged," he wrote.
Almost 8,000 families in Nikopol have been left without electricity due to enemy shelling. Emergency crews of power engineers will start work as soon as the threat of new attacks passes.
In the Marhanets community, the consequences of the attack are being clarified. Rescuers and police officers are on the scene.
No casualties have been reported so far.
In other districts of the region, no emergency situations were recorded last night. The situation is calm now.
